Boarding and travelling with mobility aids

After notifying the driving staff of your intention to use the service, and with the vehicle completely stopped, inform them if you need any type of assistance to board.

As a general rule, driving staff are not permitted to leave the driver's station, but they can activate all the vehicle's technical means to facilitate your entry:

  • If you have any access difficulties, they will kneel the vehicle or even activate the wheelchair ramp.
  • They will provide guidance on reserved seats and information about your destination stop, if you wish.
  • They will ensure that all auxiliary mobility equipment is correctly positioned on the bus, without obstructing movement or posing a risk to other passengers during the journey.

In the case of wheelchair users, they must position themselves at the center door to board, as this is where the ramp/access platform is located. These doors feature a ramp request button that alerts the driver of your intention to board in a wheelchair.

The driving staff will operate the automatic access ramp and, once the deployment maneuver is complete (when the flashing lights and intermittent sounds stop), you may then use it to board.

In many of our vehicles, we also have manual ramps as an additional safety measure to guarantee access in case the automatic ramp fails. Once inside the vehicle, head to the PRM-WU (PMRSR) space and secure your wheelchair accordingly. Check here for more information on this process.

To disembark, notify the driver sufficiently in advance of the stop by pressing the ramp request button, and wait again for the device to finish deploying before getting off.
